The Price of Valour

Mungos_TraumaSummary: When Harry is struck down by a mysterious magical illness that prevents him from being able to walk and handle magical interference, Draco Malfoy is the one to take over his care. As Harry adjusts to not being able to take care of himself, he must also learn what it means to have someone’s attention solely focused on him. When it comes to light that Ginny Weasley is the one who started the problems, combined with other Dark magic, Harry and Draco must figure out how to resolve the problem and also learn to love each other while under a Healer/patient relationship.

Status: Good

Opinion: This story has a lot of character development in terms of both Harry and Draco. Their relationship does border on obsessive, which is not quite healthy, but the story acknowledges this. The struggle of Harry’s loss of ability to handle magic definitely showed character struggle on both parties, Healer and patient. The breakdown of Ron and Hermione’s relationship was a little lackluster and honestly could have used more extrapolation, but as Harry barely saw either Ron or Hermione, even when they were staying in the same house, it was understandable. Overall, the story was well written, but I personally was not fond of the relationship as a whole.

Length: 406.814 words

Pairings: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley, Narcissa Malfoy/Kingsley Shacklebolt

Warnings: Healer/patient relationship, mild medical kinks, paralysis
