Draco Malfoy Must Die

il_fullxfull.552036671_8g7jSummary: When Hermione tries to make Ron jealous by going out with the least likely person, Draco Malfoy, she is dragged into Draco’s mission with the Vanishing Cabinet. Three girls from separate houses that Draco dated at the same time become fast friends with Harry and Hermione. They must all decide how save Draco, kill the Horcruxes, and keep Hogwarts safe all at the same time. When both Draco and Neville are bitten by Greyback, the entire group must learn what it means to love and how to navigate relationships when none of them had a “normal” life growing up.

Status: Meh

Opinion: This story starts out similar to the story of “John Tucker Must Die,” but quickly becomes more of a story of survival. There are several major points in the story that match the original books, but there are some deviations that change the outcomes. The introduction of Lillian Moon was a little strange, especially when her background is revealed. The relationships seemed to be quickly made, but they did have some good interactions after the fact. The epilogues were highly unnecessary and seemed to drag on; it has six parts. Remus and Tonks’ relationship was actually very well done and liked the familial aspect that was created. The fact that Harry and his friends knew long before the end what his fate was to be added a nice element to the story as well. Overall, there was a lot of depth missing, but it was not terribly written either.
